this school was a joke. never had any support whatsoever never felt like anyone cared about learning or mental health
My experience
I have since left the school as I have much better learning opportunities in TAFE. I must say the buildings and grounds were amazing and Beautiful. Teachers would not discipline students who behave quite horribly and it leaves students like me who have learning conditions to struggle to focus. They have not brought up concerns on the fact teachers have been complained about by multiple students and don't do anything. The school also does not handle real life issues well. There was an incident in which I was harassed by a male in my year and they took a week before they suspended him...for a day. It does not set a good example to younger children.
My Experience at BSC
I am a year 12 student at BSC, I have had a decent high school experience here. The facilities are excellent and the teachers and principal make a decent effort to understand and improve for students. However, the staff make excuses for bad behaviour from students who have learning or mental disabilities. Additionally, the principal is Canadian and did not attend high school in Australia and subsequently doesn’t have a great understanding of traditions like casual clothes and muck-up day.
