Braemar College Mount Macedon Campus

As a student I can confirm that the school is not great academically or culturally. Our school captain has sexually assaulted a student and the SCHOOL IS AWARE. They simply do not care. we have a pride group for LGBTQ students and staff but all you do is eat your lunch and talk to your friends or play on your phone. It’s all for show ( I am gay and transgender and I can confirm the teachers and only accepting on a surface level and for appearance )
The bullying at this school is ridiculous and it’s not only the students. Teachers will bully and belittle you constantly. you will only do well academically if you teach yourself or if you’re lucky enough to get one of the good teachers. However I will say the principal is THE BEST!!!! He is amazingly kind and considerate and provides students with amazing opportunities. No school is perfect but this one claims to be. While I have been harsh I will say this school is not as bad as I’ve made it out to be, I just want you be to aware that it’s not what it claims to be and could improve greatly. It does offer lots of opportunities academically ( travelling over seas for a language student ) and you have loads of school trips to Japan, all around Australia , Cambodia and Nepal to climb to the base camp of Mt Everest. it has good and bad, like every school. The content for the subjects I do is very good although certain teachers could improve their teaching style.
Sometimes students don’t feel heard but they are working to change that

Such a bad school for the money you are spending. Most teachers are so incompetent. The school is an absolute joke. School provides minimal information to the kids and parents about what’s going on with the school or activities. The education is worse than the public school down the road.
