BNWPS needs to handle disable kids better!

This was a good school, I had a lot of friends and good teachers, but the management of disabled kids is horrendous. The teacher helpers for kids with disabilities did nothing all day and came home to a salary. I got stuck with a nice boy who had various disabilities, but once I had talked to him a few times, the helpers left me to care for him. I had to spend my entire recess playing with him and doing what ever he wanted, not me. I always was put in groups with him, and every school camp I had, I was in his cabin. I was put in his class for 5 out of 7 of my years at bnwps, and had to manage him unconditionally for no money. His helpers got all the money. Apart from this, the teachers where nice, albeit biased to the disabled kids. The grounds where incredible and there was a strong sense of community.
I do not mean to sound like anything is wrong with disabled people, I have many friends with disabilities and a parent, its the way the school dealt with them.

Toxic positivity

Lovely parent community, but when a learning or safety problem arises “toxic positivity” is what you get :

A child is a struggling reader?
- smile and shrug it off!

A child touches other children inappropriately?
- Look at our new mural about what a safe school we are!
