In the polites way possible, this school is absolutely abysmal, the educational system and the behavioural system of Byford Secondary College is sorely lacking, near on no teacher has any care if their students are passing, if their students are actually safe in the environment and most are outright disrespectful of students health and mental wellbeing. Not to mention the students themselves at this school are appauling in behaviour, there are countless fights near on every day, one occasion in 2020, two students had knives to deal with each other. And when certain young touchy disgusting male students are reported to our administrative school staff, either nothing gets done or they tell the reported student who reported them which then causes more problems that the school refuses to handle. I mean this year and last year my own sister has been abused, assaulted, harrassed, stalked home and followed around by several students who don't like her, nothing of her own fault, and when reported nothing has been done, in fact the paperwork had been hidden. Then when the new year seven head got the position, she found the paperwork, was actually doing her job but to no avail, these students did not stop, it just escalated to the point my sister was chased by several year groups into the school library and several teachers had to close the library, stand guard outside the library door, in the library and at the door to the room my sister was in.
Its not a great school. There are problems with fights amongst student and bullying which are majorily being ignored. The school lacks communication skills with both staff, students and parents/guardians. They prioritise the ATAR and sports kids over the general students and reward the same people over and over rather than give the students who have largly improved in all areas the recognition they deserve. I could be here all day but ill leave it at that.
