Go elsewhere

They pull you in with the support they say they will provide your child then never provide the support offered. They then blame and shame the child for failing even though supports as agreed on were never given. The school likes children who are bullied to stay silent and then fail to provide the protection they deserve. They then kick the victim out for standing up to the bully. They lie in their strategic plan about helping kids who are struggling. If your child is perfect your child will do well but if your kid is an average kid your child will leave with a reduced self esteem, lower confidence and a huge sense of shame for not being perfect. The school leadership make assumptions about children without knowing them fully only to name call the children’s behaviour based on their own misaligned ideas of these kids. They will create a narrative of your child without knowing your child. You better hope they consider your kid a ‘good kid’ before they think it’s a ‘bad kid’ because that label will stick throughout the years with your child and any achievements made will be diminished or minimised based on the label. Look elsewhere if your child’s mental, emotional and psychological well-being are important to you as this school will simply not care and will adversely affect your child.

Hate that it’s so strict, uniform is the worst 💀 teachers are pretty friendly. Could be worse ig so not that bad

Bullying

Bullying is prevalent and nothing gets done about it. One student was asked to leave the school because they were being bullied so much and there was “nothing they could do about it”. Another student was called racist slurs and was suspended for reacting, the perpetrator got away with it. Teacher had an inappropriate relationship with a student and some other teachers have done questionable things also. They care more about correct uniform than student wellbeing. Canteen is overpriced for the amount of food you get and is not quality. Students have gotten food poisoning and one students lunch order was given away to someone else before they could collect it.

Cardijn college

Horrific bullying that the school does nothing about, consistent teacher scandals, teachers harassing students and the lack of empathy towards students is disgusting

Cardijn College is okay

Honestly a decent school. Beside the fact my daughter is always complaining about the rude things her teachers say to her, the school it lovely. The campus is often tidy but the ‘bullying’ inside the school is so incredibly bad. My year 10 daughter is not bullied by her peers but she says so many kids in younger year levels are picked on and shouted at. The leadership team has recently decided to not allow people to have their hair down if longer than shoulder length, i personally do not understand how this is impacting my child's learning, My daughter has also been denied use of the bathroom during lesson which is disgusting. The new principal is also horrible, he is rude and needs to learn his place. A negative is also the canteen prices; $4.90 for a cheese toasty and $9 for a scoop of pasta, get a grip cardijn honestly.
