Chifley College Bidwell Campus

I don’t like that it’s not wheelchair accessible because a teacher said and I quote “if someone breaks a leg or something they will be put in another school”

They like to pretend to be inclusive of everyone and understanding of mental health, but they just care about brownie points with the community. Staff have been incredibly unsupportive and occasionally homophobic/transphobic towards students, and just let their personal agenda come into the work environment in an unprofessional way.
Staff also have next to no care for mental illness, one staff member even telling me that I “look fine” physically despite it being a very serious mental illness, that does not affect one’s appearance. Things such as panic attacks and mental breakdowns in the classroom have earned me (and others) detentions for being “silly” or “disruptive and disrespectful”.
There has also been many instances of ex students just walking into campus, and students bringing drugs, and weapons to school, absolutely no security measures were taken to combat this issue.
On top of that, the school does absolutely nothing when you are being harassed by another student consistently.
One girl wrote my phone number on a lunch table, the bathroom wall and a support pillar with sexual implications surrounding it. When I brought this to the schools attention, they suggested a “talk” to “see what the problem was”, and despite the evidence I had that she wrote it and that it was harming me directly (I had already had messages and calls about inappropriate sexual interactions), nothing was done, no suspension, no detention, no disciplinary action, just a “talk” about our issue and that was it.
Chifley College Bidwill Campus has its bright moments, but the way things are going I don’t think it’s worth it to send your kids here
