Concordia has a great physcial environment, but lacks the college environment. They do not deal with Bullying or complaints, and everything is a hassal to them. Classes can be limited due to teachers, class numbers and preferences
the bullying issue is so bad at this school. i went to concordia for 6 years and graduated there and in that time i was bullied by teachers, students and general faculty. it was actually terrible. i've never seen a school care so much about its "perfect" image and care so little about the fact it's students are literally being bullied so bad their mental health is suffering and the fact that their students are being forced to believe in morals and disciplines they don't believe in. this school has a history of sexual assault, bullying from staff and students, ignoring their students needs and forcing students to conform. there is no room for individuality and anyone who doesn't match the image that's set is in for a wild ride with the rest of the students and teachers constantly harassing them
not only that, most teachers at the school are absolutely shocking at actually teaching. i barely scraped through school because of the sheer lack of care and teaching from the teachers. most teachers just read straight from books or pre-made power points and try to teach things they clearly don't understand. i don't remember anything actually of use now that i'm in university because the teachers didn't care about my education while i was there.
I was a student at concordia for three and a half years. During that time I experienced sexual assault from classmates. Death threats, rape threats and bullying from “friends” and even bullying from some teachers. Very few of the teachers actually care about what is happening to their students. I went to the principal many times about the bullying and sexual assault, but all he would say is that it was my fault, that I deserved it. As a teenager who was already dealing with C-PTSD, Severe Anxiety and Depression, hearing my principal tell me that was absolutely dreadful. Even if you have proof and evidence of bullying, the the bullies parents have money, it simply gets shoved under the rug. The only good thing I can say about this school is that they have an amazing drama program and drama teacher. They have a wonderful arts program. That is why I stayed at Concordia for so long while I was being bullied. But it is not worth it. The amount of mental damage and trauma I have received from this school is despicable. I know I am not the only student from this school that has been through the same thing.
