I had this teacher last year and he and me fail all my exams in math like he doesn’t explain and is so fake. They need to teach the students what is going to be in the real world like nothing they teach is for the real world. Like they say when someone says something bad about them once they go in full detail like bro it’s none of their buisness. They like need to know everything when they don’t.
A Great School with Excellent Facilities, Sports, and Academics
Emmanuel College is an excellent school known for its strong academic programs, impressive facilities, and outstanding sports opportunities.
The facilities at Emmanuel College are modern and well maintained, providing students with a great environment for learning and development. Classrooms are well equipped, and the school offers quality spaces for science, technology, and creative subjects. The campus is clean, organised, and designed to support both academic work and extracurricular activities.
The sports program is one of the highlights of the school. Emmanuel College provides a wide range of sports for students to participate in, encouraging teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle. Students have access to quality sporting facilities and experienced coaches who help them develop their skills and compete at a high level.
Academically, Emmanuel College has a strong focus on helping students achieve their best. The teachers are supportive and knowledgeable, and the school offers a variety of subjects that allow students to explore their interests and prepare for future study or careers. Students are encouraged to work hard, think critically, and strive for success.
Overall, Emmanuel College offers a well balanced education with excellent facilities, a strong sports culture, and solid academic support, making it a great place for students to grow and succeed.
The Ignite Program - The worst decision Emmanuel College ever made.
As a current senior school student at Emmanuel College, I definitely have a few complaints, but one standing out to me is the Ignite program.
For context, recently Emmanuel College started a new program started called 'Ignite'. The ignite program basically takes the top 10% high achievers in each grade and awards them at assemblies.
As a proud non-ignite member, but still high achiever, I can say, so many elements of this program feels bias and insulting.
Sitting through the Ignite assemblies feels like living a nightmare. It basically feels like they are saying "look how much better these people are then you".
But the ultimate worst part of this whole thing, is that the ignite students get opportunities other students don't.
I value my education so highly and I would like to be set up for a future of success. So if an opportunity arose for me to go to a university and "collaboratively develop transformative ideas" I would totally sign up! But my main issue is they don't allow everyone to get the opportunity, only a select group of students.
It is so discriminatory.
It is absolutely disgusting how some students can work so hard, have so much passion and so much potential, yet repeatedly do not get the same opportunities and probably aren't valued the same the ignite students.
If you want your child to be treated and valued equally, do not go to Emmanuel College. I'm not even joking, after the first ignite assembly, a girl had a mental break-down in front of me because she was so genuinely upset that she didn't get in the program, because she and her parents expected more from her.
The ignite program is so disgusting and discriminatory and I wish no other schools ever partake in such a cruel program.
Hi,
So I’ve been at Emmanuel for 11 years now and it’s been a rollarcoster to say the least.
Emmanuel is a Christian school based around the Christian belief, but sadly the school has fallen very far away from it with it’s decisions.
Things have started to get a little better when the school introduced the new principle last year.
Then they decided to change the logo. Ok yes the new logo is more modern but at the same time it is going to cost a fortune. And it is going to cost every single parent a fortune to replace the uniforms. Every single door and window has this logo on it and was freshly done in 2020. They are going to spend thousands upon thousand of dollars with this new logo with money that should be going towards the students education and hiring good teachers.
Another fact is that Emmanuel is very behind looking at other schools. It isn’t adapting like other schools. It doesn’t offer better classes. It isn’t teaching students the necessary skills for a future which is different to one 20 years ago.
The class structure needs to change. The lessons are 80% teacher guided and that doesn’t work if you look at the time we are going into now. Look at Hillcrest where the school is only 20% teacher guided and they have no behaviour problems because of it and every student is excelling.
The school even has multiple students leave each year to study classes that Emmanuel just doesn’t provide.
Furthermore Emmanuel College is just not the school you hear about anymore.
