Flagstone State Community College

I attended Flagstone State Community College for term 1 of year 8 and all of year 9.

This school is absolutely awful. I was bullied and harassed here by both teachers and students.

Some memories include;
*The chaplain telling me I was evil because of my interest in Wicca.

*A student stealing my iPod and teachers doing nothing about it while she was still on school grounds. When I asked for it back, the student whom was older than me and bigger than me pushed me over and sat on me and threw punches. I was suspended for a longer time than her.

*The same student throwing my bag into a cage around an air conditioning unit outside of the performing arts building during class. I tried to put my bag just inside the door but the dance teacher told me I couldn’t bring it in. I said “what the heck?” And was then suspended for swearing at her. This same teacher also bullied me with other students about the assumption of my family being poor. One day I mentioned she had the same car as my mother, a Toyota RAV4. She loudly said that they’re not the same car just because they’re the same colour when my mothers Rav was silver and hers was red. She also made comments about holes in my socks. Although my family is middle class, I didn’t like to ask my parents for new things and she would constantly pick on me for being “poor”.

*During year parade I was reading a book that my Aunt had ordered from the US and wasn’t available in Australia. A teacher walked up and ripped the book from my hands, ripping the book in the process. I was then suspended.

*A substitute teacher asked to speak to me after class after the entire class was misbehaving. I was 1 of 30 students that pretended to chew gum. When I refused to talk to her, she grabbed me by my backpack and started to drag me into the classroom. I pulled away from her and the strap on my backpack snapped. I told her she’s a pedo. I was suspended for calling her a pedo. This occurred not long after a female teacher had been sexually abusing a female student at this school, which was aired on A current affair. The student that was sexually abused was friends with one of my friends older sisters.

The current principal whom I believe was a vice principal at the time would frequently bully me and was doing the suspending. The amount of times I was suspended for retaliation was ridiculous.

My parents actually had a lawyer get involved because of the schools behaviour and inaction on the bullying situation. Eventually just pulling me from the school.

honestly, the only reason I'm still at this god forsaken school is the accelerate program. yes, as a layout and the environment of the school it's great, however the behaviour and the people in general suck
