Pretty toxic from my experience, in year 5 it was a free dress day and the theme was what you wanted to be when you were older so I dressed up as an activist for LGBT rights and my shirt said something about that and the then vice principal told me to cover it up so the little kids wouldnt ask their parents about it and create "a problem" so naturally I was pretty upset being only 10 since my birthday hadn't happened yet and went crying to my friends and then he came to me again during class and told me that I shouldn't be upset an now that I'm in 9th grade and think back to that it was really wrong and should've never happened to me, a 10 year old child shouldn't have to deal with the silencing of what they believed in, I wish I could go back in time just to yell at him, I'm pretty sure he doesn't work there anymore but I just thought I'd share this because as a vice principal it's your job to make kids feel safe
