It is a very good school, everyone is nice and caring towards each other, there are a lot of interruptions because of all the stuff going on in the school like Starstruck, Musicals, Plays, Showcases, State of dance and many more. Although this is a disturbance to our learning it is also expected of us to use canvas where you can see any work you may have missed.
It is a good school and mostly the teachers are great. But some of the head teachers are problematic and have had multiple complaints filed against them, and still the school does nothing.
i’m a year 12 student and i can quite confidently say i don’t know a damn thing that’s going on. in class assessments clash with hospitality work placement and mistakes like this happen constantly. the school runs unorganised and messy, causing the students to be exactly the same. the performing arts aspect takes away all joy and love for your chosen performing art, instead causing students to dread that class. i myself am a drama student, the head of drama is know for being transphobic (deadnaming and misgendering students, splitting students but sex and not acknowledging their gender identity unless they have medically transitioned, ect). the eduction system as a whole is extremely flawed but is even more so at hspa.
