terrible school. as a year 12 student i've hated this school for quite some time. the uniforms are absolutely repulsive, they have quite a thick texture which makes you very sweaty in summer, not to mention the atrocious colour scheme. there is no way for the younger grades to express themselves through colourful socks or jewellery as they usually get reprimanded for this. for quite a large school there are barely any comfortable seating areas outdoors, and there is grime everywhere you look. on the cement there is gum stuck in places everywhere from decages ago. i am unsure on the procedures now, but when i was in the younger grades everyone was forced to do pe. this was where i started to develop a social anxiety disorder due to the amount of ridicule and embarrassment i would face for not being good enough at the sports. we are barely taught anything about the atar system and how it works. all of the teachers are treated so poorly by the education department, and jackson dodd (the principal) is reported to have literally bullied one teacher into considering suicide because this teacher called jackson dodd out on his atrocious and inappropriate comments on an online school board. there is no help offered to those who are struggling with bullying or mental health issues, except for "stymie" which does not work and literally makes the person who reported misconduct a target. i myself reported someone for something quite serious and nothing was done. not to mention the new phone policy that the school has spent thousands on instead of investing that money for new school resources, comfortable seating options, quality teachers. barely anyone even uses the phone pouches i hate this school and i will be glad to be leaving, it has been one of the most traumatic places for me.
Dont tell people about your issues, and dont let students find out if you struggle with mental health issues. They will make fun of you and call you an emo. They will make jokes about suicide and self-harm. A lot of the students also make racist and homophobic comments almost all the time.

ACA program is really good, most the sporting groups are good and the math tutoring group is really good.
Not bad not great.
James Nash isn't bad, however, the way the principal and staff manage student behaviour is. If someone is being bullied, they don't care, especially if someone has the wrong socks on. They lecture the student about their uniform rather than helping them get out of their situation. There's also not much support from in class teachers with the work, especially the newer teachers and everyone relies on the support team which would be extremely stressful on them. Not to mention, learning and wellbeing being absolutely a waste of time and effort sitting there doing nothing relevant to the school or our futures. The school rules are so strict and have the dumbest punishments ever. Someone wags they get a detention they don't go to that detention they get suspended. They're giving students who skip class more opportunities to skip class 👏 Bravo Nash.
