The staff suck honestly, they will target 1 student for their whole highschool experience if they slip up just 1 time mainly the female staff in the office I will admit some are nice but the other half honestly just hate themselfs and are so miserable they feel the need to bully teenagers and treat students like nothing. But aside from that if your an adamdemic student I think this is the school great for you, creative not so much.
Amazing school everything is amazing all the staff are so caring and nice to everyone. 100% recommend this school. Great at introducing the year 7s into high school.
Kennedy overall simply doesn’t execute what they say they will/do, particularly regarding their discipline/behaviour policy/system - they come across as ‘strict, no-nonsense’, but in reality, they are lenient, and put up with far too much in my opinion, and yet focus on very minor, sometimes unavoidable issues.
Kennedy, again, does not fulfil its promise towards students with eg. learning difficulties that require further assistance/academic support. They do have the resources for such, but seem reluctant and uncommitted to actually providing it, which is wrong. I would recommend to only ‘mainstream’ students.
There are several teachers/staff members that are above-and-beyond excellent, but also a few too many that are not good at all - rude, unprofessional, and don’t actually *teach*. I understand that such is at practically every school, but I don’t think it is appropriate within a school that supposedly holds such high standards, and for the fees being paid…
The Christian ethos is of course going to be applied, and I have no issue with such - however, when views associated with/influenced by such, eg. regarding abortion, sexuality, etc. are forced upon students, I don’t think that’s appropriate, and it should be monitored.
However, I will speak only positively of Kennedy’s facilities - modern, attractive and maintained.
Overall, Kennedy is decent - it exceeds most schools, but does not remotely live up to what they tell prior to attendance, and that’s what bothers me.
