It's a pretty good school but if the student has mental helth problems but is a gifted student the school doesn't always care much. I have stated for a few years I need help with this or I need to go to well being and no one believes me until my mum comes to the school and tells them off for ignoring my needs.
As a former graduate of Loganlea State High School, I believe that this school is exceptional in providing wonderful STAR programs. These programs provided by this school are aimed at maximising the potential of students who are pursuing their passion, which could be based in music, sports, agriculture, hospitality, dance and et cetera. The school staff are also friendly and amazing people who take pride in their work and really do care about the students. With the school environment being one with Australian nature, the outdoor facilities are amazing and have so much to offer. However, this is set back by the lack of variety in senior ATAR subjects they offer as compared to other local high schools in the area.
In 2022 I graduated from Loganlea after six years, grade 7-12. All I can say is a solid 100/10.
The staff, peers, and community are one of kind. I felt like I belonged and the connections created with everyone I will cherish for the rest of my life.
The numerous opportunities provided have aided my development into a confident, social, and strong minded individual. This is because of the countless STAR programs, like LYDP (Loganlea Youth Development Program ‘surf life saving’) that not only assisted my leadership skills but greatly increased my overall happiness.
Loganlea is always striving to improve, every year, term, and month, Loganlea never stops progressing.
I look forward to seeing Loganlea being listed as the best school in Logan :)
Good programs, but bad staff.
Staff at this school use slurs, have biased beliefs, and don't do anything about in-school harassment or assaults. The school tuckshop is also disgusting, with soggy sandwiches, stale crumbed chicken and half-cooked meat pies.
This place is also extremely over priced. Only good for getting certificates, but even then, why not just do them online in the comfort of your own home without screaming classrooms, people banging on the walls, teachers yelling, being forced to stand and wait outside in the sweltering heat while a teacher gets prepared in the air-conditioned classroom during valuable learning time?
If you don't know what you like it's a very good school with alot of options and a great cooking program and teachers.
Some teachers I personally don't believe are good teachers with how they teach and treat students.
Sometimes the school doesn't fully plan things and it can badly effect the students grades and mental heath. This happened to most seniors this year (2023).
The students and the discipline criteria are pretty good and not like the rumours you may hear.
