Lumen Christi Catholic College

The uniform is way to strict, doesn’t allow students to express themselves what so ever, even making us wear specific socks. They didn’t care about young people struggling with their mental health and what little support they offered was pretty horrible. A few teachers that don’t acknowledge that people are different and 1 style of learning might not be the best for them and The Canteen is way overpriced. On the other side Some positives are carnivals and fun days out of the classroom. Overall serious improvements need to be made.

It is a regional school, so it is not the ‘perfect’ competitive atmosphere that you may find in the cities… but that is good and healthy. Lumen creates good people. I left one of those ‘good schools’ solely for that reason. It doesn’t, admittedly, always make the best students, but that’s because not all students fit into the rigid structures we have made for them. This school is a great place for learning how to be well balanced as a person.
