Maryborough state high school overall is a good school with great programs for students. How they deal with bullying and assault is terrible. Students can get away with bashing someone but when the other student lashes out back they get suspended.
it was a good school, great teachers and opportunities. doesnt treat it's disabled students well though, physically or mentally. if you're disabled, i suggest online schooling since thats what has worked for me
i personally do not recommend this school to anyone i had to drop out of school because of the way i was treated by staff at this school i was told i had to toilet train myself and called a baby and other names if i asked to go to the toilet i was told to have mental breakdowns in my own time and was threatened to be suspended for having a mental breakdown they do not take mental health seriously i was told by a guidance to stop talking when trying to talk about my feelings towards something that happened at school i was not aloud to talk about anything that had happened to me to the councillors even though that was there job teachers and the principals treated me very poorly calling me harsh names and saying i had no future because of my mental health and that’s not even half of it do not send your kids to this school if you care about there well being
Great school. They have helped me through my PTSD and mental health issues caused by my previous school. They listen to issues and you can report things to them anonymously.
