Overall strict to the point of stupidity, the school is stuck in the 20th century. And a focus on reputation which outweighs anything other priority, especially the genuine wellbeing of their students.
A specific deputy principal has ruined the school by his constant power trip , always creating pointless new rules just so he can enforce them, constantly giving the students a hard time, as well as telling teachers they aren’t being strict enough, making the overall moral at the school terrible. Going to mazenod was exhausting , as no matter what you were doing , he would find a way to target and harass you, as well as other teachers as they didn’t want to get in trouble with him. Recently due to covid , alot of the programs and activities which previously existed have been scrapped, and yet to have been brought back.
However most of mazenod has some genuinely amazing teachers , who really care for the students and do an incredible job.
The facilities of the school seem the same as public school ones, with the exception of the new trades centre, which is genuinely great, other fields such as art are overlooked and ignored though. Student facilities are poor , with no common rooms and little shared areas. The schools leadership needs to realise that the world it exists in is no longer a strict, conservative world, and loosen up. Let the students have some fun ! They all have enough on their plate already.
