Doesnt respect religion
This school is very disrespectful to religion i am a child of god and we where in english our teacher was talking about religion she said even though it has been scientifically proven that this god doesn't exist people still chose to believe in him im am very upset god loves us and may peace be with us
foul mouthed staff
My child who is specials eds vocally stims alot but this woman who looked and acted like the definition of karen was screaming her head off at the class but she didnt like how my child was vocally stimming so she told her to shut up i am so mad shes should be glad i didnt come to the school and scream my head off at her
Menacing staff
The staff here are useless and horrible there are only 5 teachers i like the rest are horrible my daughter with autism was getting screamed at by another student with autism after she was trying to be nice to him and because she has autism it makes her noise sensitive so she didnt like the yelling so she yelled back and the horrible teacher said why you yelling at him(the other student) and she tried to explain he was yelling and it was triggering her autism(she was on the verge of tears) and that stupid bitch said "nope i have autism and dyslexia not a excuse" people who are not familiar with autism there is a spectrum of it so all people with it act different and theres different levels of it and dyslexia is not bader than autism it makes you struggle to spell words and read but you can still live a normal life with it and my child has level 2 autism and its close to being severe
do something about your kids
very trashy horrible kids they vape they get mad if you stare at them and my daughter told me about how the grade 10 boys acts creepy towards her

useless school
The principals here are terrible there was one good deputy that used to work here until some little brat chased him with a knife so he quit but instead of looking for a new deputy principal they decided to use the drama teacher to replace him and she is ass at her job and the principal is in his own little lala land and thinks his school is perfect when its full of bogans and eshay
The school should be shut down
This school isn't a good experience for any child here this is a school that no child should go to or graduate all the kids are vaping but the teachers don't care and my little grade sevener has to breathe in that foul air every time she uses the bathroom and she has even told me the girls in her grade stole their mothers vape and vaped in the toilets just to be cool they do nothing about bullying do not recommend this school -Deniese
A literal hell hole
This school is disgusting half of the kids here are eshays and foul mouthed they do nothing about bullying and blame the victim for it which is very disgusting you dont get help with your work at all and most of the students wag their classes this school is a nightmared and i am disgusted this school is still open i do not recommend sending your child here

This school is disgusting and terrible all the students have a foul mouth kids get bullied every day and nothing gets done about it even a principal witnessed bullying and did nothing kids are wagging class everyday and nothing is done about it there has even been some incidents of kids bringing weapons to school do not bring your child to this hell hole worst school in brisbane ever
Horrible school
Worst school ever. They claim they will help with bullying but they school does absolutely nothing about it, also the all of the support staff they do nothing to help the special needs kids

out of all seven schools I've been to , mitchelton is by far the worst. it was so bad that i had to leave before the first term finished. horrible people , horrible teacher (except one teacher aid) , horrible cleaning, overall a horrible school
Mitchelton in a reviw
Some teachers care for your mental health but the senior deputy doesn't do anything about the bullying, no matter how many times i had gone to her about bullying she never put it into the system she had written it down in a diary, so when talking to actual principle about the problem he couldn't see previous reports. Too many fights happen, staff blame students for most mishaps, girls toilets are always locked not in use during school, too many vapes and staff ignore people who leave grounds or skip their class. They really only care about uniform and what socks you wear. Got in trouble for not wearing school issued pants even though i could not afford them than was told the pants weren't for the girls but the boys only and that i didn't identify as a different gender. Lack of planning, Phone ban is severely flawed they didn't think it through properly.
The Real Mitchie Experience
The teachers here are extremely supportive, understanding and genuinely do their best to teach in a way that works for everyone. However, the school lacks in facilities (and effective planning) and are often too short-staffed to run classes due to lack of students (min.15 students). In terms of study choices, they do not have a large variety of subjects for Senior compared to a lot of other schools, mainly because they simply lack the resources. With a smaller amount of students on the other hand, there's a lot more opportunity for individual focus that teachers can offer to students. Unless you want to pursue in a more creative arts career - or don't mind doing Distance ED, this school wouldn't be of great recommendation at this point in time.

Teachers were really supportive of my creative outlets but the administration and executive staff sucks need to learn to to work together and not just blame students cause they can
