Monaro High School

My experience at Monaro high school from years 7 to 12 has been abysmal. I am a high achiever completing my senior year in 2023 and find that I come to school and only one teacher will show up. Every teacher that comes is 20-30 minutes late and I’ve stopped arriving at the 9:00 warning bell and instead begun arriving at 9:20 because I know there will be no consequence as I will beat the teacher to the classroom. The culture amongst students is terrible, the school is heavy with racism and bullying, and the teachers do nothing to stop it. There is little opportunities like excursions available, the canteen food is very expensive and tastes like garbage, the supposed “new upgrades” are falling apart, I’m talking doors falling off hinges, paint peeling from walls, technology not working etc etc. the classrooms are so loud it is impossible to concentrate on anything. I’ve applied myself extensively throughout my schooling career and the conditions have never been as bad as they are now, that definitely reflects on my grades.
