some of the teachers are good but the principal is shit. she stills thinks it’s the 1950s and I swear she wants this PUBLIC school to be a private one. don’t let the good ATARs fool you, this is a shit school. oh and we have a vape and drug problem
I left mordi a couple of years ago due to severe anxiety and panic attacks. instead of an education, what mordialloc taught me over the years was that my appearance, and conformity mattered more than my own learning.
It wasn’t uncommon for students to be pulled out of class, given detention or even sent home due to the uniform policy. which meant no socks with logos, no dyed hair, no piercings and absolutely no forms of self expression. As a trans man, i was made to wear skirts in the winter and dresses in the summer out of the fear of being targeted by others. Of which the school did nothing.
Mordi is known among kids due to the insane amount of bullying that the teachers turn a blind eye to and the delinquent kids that make the lives of minority groups a living hell.
Dropping out of school was the best decision i’ve made in my life
