Teaching staff esp the younger staff members are fantastic. The subject choices fantastic. The issue is that now the middle school has aprox 1200kids made up of only yr 7, 8 and 9 cohorts. They don't have enough open space to cater for that many kids wanting to play ball etc. 400 in each year level is too many to fien any kind of meaningful relationships. If your kid is neurodiverse it may be overwhelming. The bulling is rife esp in yr 8. My kid hates it there as from the social point of view as the non whites gang up on the whites and are racist and just downright abusive, insecure, twits. While the school tries to manage it they seem to play a lot of it down or it flies under the radar. I think it's got too big and can't cater adequately for the cohort that needs more than an oval and a gym to be able to let off steam. It's a great school from many aspects but not ideal for introverted or neuro-diverse kids who feel overwhelmed by too many personalities etc.
Honestly such a bad school.
I got sent home for having the wrong socks on and got screamed at by 2 teachers for wearing a bracelet. I was trying to buy food from the canteen with my phone and got it taken without even being able to pay for my food. As someone in recover for a eating disorder this really set me off. I could go on forever on all of the bad things about this school but in shorts words to sum it up…. Unless you want your kid to suffer from depression send them straight to Naz.
It is an average school with many people in charge who are out of touch with what students want. The education is good but the other things are iffy, the IT tech staff who don't teach are rude and have verry obvious favouritism and half the time are useless for the majority of people. Some teachers enforce the phone ban during students breaks and then poceed to scroll Facebook during theirs.
