Not as bad as people say, sure it’s not the best and some of the teachers suck but I’m sure all schools have bad teachers, needs sort out the bullying though.

Noosa District is one of the calmer schools on the Sunshine Coast with very few cases of fights and problems occurring on school grounds, however with that comes the students. A vast majority of students at this school are very much so sheltered and what I would consider lost. They lack the basic skills in life that a young adult should learn early and I can guarantee that when we graduate, almost all these kids are going to be lost, not knowing how to take care of problems themselves such as; when they finish their work, they bug the teacher for feedback, basic respect towards their teachers and not treating them with respect as if they were their boss or someone in the work field, who if they treated like that in the real world, they would either be fired from their workplace or simply laid out, which is the honest truth. Some of these students lack basic self care skills such as brushing their hair, scheduling haircuts, appointments, even a simple job with them refusing and arguing with the teacher to cough up a merely $1 for her to bring in hot chips for our class to enjoy while we study. It is a hard concept to explain but it’s made clear when you experience the company of a majority of these students when you are a student here, most of them have no personality, no hobbies, no aspirations and nothing to their name. They’re children in a teenagers body that have been sheltered or refuse to grow up. It’s embarrassing to witness.

While the school lacks a sporting program with their senior female netball team losing to every other sunshine coast female netball team, they make up for it with a strong music program with students leaving this school with the support from the music facility, some of these students have gone on to become music producers, professional singers and professional disc jockeys.

The school facilities are always clean and tidy, but the bathrooms are atrocious.

The schools routine follows

Home Room: 8:40-8:50
Period 1: 8:50-10:00
Break 1: 10:00-10:35
Period 2: 10:35-11:45
Break 2: 11:45-12:20
Period 3: 12:20-1:30
Break 3 1:30-1:45
Period 4: 1:45-2:55

Personally, I would send my children to Sunshine State High School for a more leveled schooling experience, the students here are too sheltered and hidden away from facing their own problems and learning on how to deal with things on their own and learning basic habits and lifestyle choices that a young adult should know by the time they are a teenager. Overall this school is average to below average. 4.5/10
