Don’t like this school.
As a year 10 student here, don't go.
Do not send anyone to this school. I am a student in grade 10 and have gone to this school for years. Other students are racist, homophobic, transphobic and more. There are alot of students that go there that are sexual assulters and have groomed people. There are constant slurs getting yelled and no freedom of religion. If you are not christian you will be asked to remove religious items because they deem it not a real religion. I have been subject to constant detentions for not removing religious items, I have had slurs yelled at me constantly, been physically assaulted for being gay, my friend was assaulted for the fact he was Asian ( they made it very clear it was because of his race. ) and the school does nothing about any of this. Do not send your children here.
Racism Issue
The facilities and staff weren't too bad, however my mixed race daughter was subjected to some pretty shocking racism by the other students, for which absolutely nothing was done. This is not an issue I rather naively thought would ever pop up for her, and was horrified when she started telling me the names she was called (including "n" word, "monkey" etc). I ended up pulling her out of the school as a result, as there was generally an incredible amount of apathy towards the situation.

Very bad school I’m a student in grade 10 and there is heaps of bullying and harassment at this school ! Teachers don’t do anything about it and never care about or think about the students mental health during heated situations they just care about consequences and how to make the school look better to the community. I hate it here DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE . There are a few good staffs here but the rude nasty comments from some are unreal .
Do NOT send your children to NLSC.
Horrible school to send your children to. I am a student myself in grade 11 and honestly my experience is disgusting to say the least. There are some very good staff and decent facilities and programs. But racism is a SERIOUS issue here. Both teachers and student are constantly making remarks and on one occasion a teacher had said racist inappropriate language to myself and another student. Do not. Send your kids here. Bullying is also a massive issue that mainly plagues the lower grades. Fights break out constantly. Not worth it.
