Bullying

4 of my 5 children have attended this school it was an excellent school until we got a new principal. The amount of bullying that goes on is ridiculous. The principal and most staff members like to pretend it doesn’t happen or invalidate the person whom it is happening to. My 7 year old daughter was approached by a gang of older children ( not sure why they were in her play area) ranging from years 4-6. There were more than 6 of them. They accused her of saying something and started becoming aggressive. Imagine being a 7 year old and being confronted by a group of vicious bullies. My daughter was very confused as to what they were implying as she was playing with her friend innocently rolling down a hill. My daughter started to run away from the gang of girls who mind you are leaders of the school (house captains) they proceeded to chase her.
Not sure what the staff on duty were up to. My daughter ran into the closest toilet and shut the door they proceeded to kick the door in and yelling at her to get out. When I went into the office to talk about it with the principal she was helpful at first then rang me a couple of hours later to pretty much say that none of it happened and my daughter was making it up. My daughter was so scared and anxious to go to school and she still is this incident occurred in April 2024. They still run past her and yell things out as none of them have been made responsible for their actions. The principal and staff including the office staff are all friends with the bullies parents. All I wanted was for them to be accountable for their actions. From my point of view a school captain/s shouldn’t be intimidating younger children. Let alone anyone for that matter. But I guess if mummy and mummy’s friends work at the school we can just do what we want. The principal hung up on me numerous times as I was extremely angry with her carelessness towards this incident and her total lack of empathy for my child that was chased and hunted down in her school. I’m not the only one who says this about the school. My son chased one of the girls one afternoon and now they’re scared and quite frankly I don’t care. Get what you give 👍
