Springwood High School

Completly awful school ruined both my mental state and future education. Because of incompitancy from the PDHPE teacher, John Turner, I was denied access to extension english , the only subject I had any hope in doing well in, in year 11, so now I can't access extension 2 this year, so I either have to repeat year 11 because of the mistakes of a teacher, or not do **the subject I have actual passion for**

The mental health 'facaulties' are a joke, councelers are worthless at their jobs, either asking the worst possible questions or just being the easiest people to trick into thinking you're ok. Any form of acceptance towards queer students was only given to people with good grades. I was being deadnamed up until leaving the school, teachers did not care about students who needed help or care.

Bullying is completly ignored, I was sexualy harased & discriminated against on a daily basis, to the point where coming to school was a form of mental self harm for me. Attempts to call this out would either fall on deaf ears or by 'worked on' by ignoring the problem.

The school itself is a total wreck, still containing asbestos and only just getting aircon. It's miserable to look at, brutalist stone squares lathered with now peeling paint. It's worse in class, supllies are outdated and always broken; tables and chairs are coated in racist grafiti and 20 years worth of gum. The bathrooms are awful.

My excperince working as one of the main sound techs was also awful, I was verbaly assualted by the head of CAPA, Shane Simpson, on multiple occasions (one of my friends was in tears after his first time working with him). I was doing this as a voulenteer and a student; willingly giving 100's of hours away freely just to get shouted at and told to not leave.

I strugled to switch schools due to admins incompitance (I pray it was incompitance at least), as to switch school, both the new school and the school you're currently enrolled in have to sign off on it. Take a guess what the issue was. Office admin here are either so corrupt or negligent that it took over a year to confirm un-enrolement.

I wish everyone I mentioned by name, the entire admin staff & roughly half the students a special place in hell. Thank you for making me a suicidal wreck.

Kill the high school of spring wood is the worse high school in QLD and i request all parents please please don’t send there kids to this school to west of time it’s like a jungle with racist dot principles for the second language people

Bathroom door got ripped off and they put us in a lockdown because a couple was having a fight, they also put us in a lockdown because someone was throwing rocks

this school is generally the most awful school i’ve been there since year 7 and it jus isn’t getting any better ( in yr 11 now)
this school does not give to craps about your well-being i’ve never felt so low at this school they don’t really care what you do definitely do not recommend
