Our girl started Yr 7 this year and as parents we are so disappointed. Communication with parents is very, very poor, very few sporting opportunities for the girls and the facilities are also very poor. Yes, new sports facilities will be completed in a year or so, but honestly just some better coaches and school spirit would improve sporting outcomes. Yes, they do well in academics it seems, but most girls who enrol in the school are high achievers anyway, so the school is doing nothing in particular to improve student outcomes. In our experience, our daughter's state primary school teachers went above and beyond any teacher at St Aidan's. Many of the teachers are lecturing at the front of the class in Yr 7 instead of providing interactive, hands-on learning that is particularly vital for middle school learners. So, so disappointed ☹️
honestly a good school, attended for a long time and never faced any major problems. However, st aidans does not offer any additional or different subjects to the general ones offered at all schools. Great academic results but facilities, sport and quality does not really compare to other private schools it competes against. All focus is put onto academics, ATAR, and touch football, much less on senior music and other extracurriculars. It is very small which can have its positives and negatives. people and teachers are generally ok, better than most schools.
been here for a long time, not a bad school but cannot compare to any of the other private girls schools in brisbane, too small, not even a competitor for sport, no subject choices but academically strong. generally good people, better than most private schools
School is extremely strict and very small, doesn’t help when girls are getting bullied by other students. School is prone to bullying and racism, and doesn’t offer a variety of classes for students willing to learn different things.
