Education is pretty good but more concerned about appearances. Will make you pay 30 cents for a blue hair ribbon from the office if you forget yours and follow you up for payment over the loudspeaker
Teachers are quite pushy, consently getting into peoples business and space. I've had teachers stand alarmingly close to me, touch me without warning or consent. I came into class tired once, that one was my fault, and i didn't smile when she called my name on the roll, interrogated me infront of the class for three (3) minutes, telling me she was going to talk to me after class, made me tell her i was just tired, and i was late for a test, then that teacher got upset at me. Not a good way to start a monday morning at nine.
Another time, it was swimming in PE, the fill in teacher asked if i was swimming that day before we went to the pool. I said i wasn't and she asked why, i refused to tell her infront of the class as it was because my period came that morning, she made me tell the whole class that i was on it. Someone else had asked her not to ask for reasons then and there. She then expected the four girls not swimming to learn to swim by sitting on a hill just away from the pool. Then told the black girl that she would get skin cancer from letting me (white) touch her fingers as we entertained our selves.
Reports of cameras in the bathrooms because of the vape problems, teachers calling studets slurs. Called a white kid by the n-slur to explain the inportance of tone and context when speaking. He was white.
The education is alright. Small class so teachers can spend more time doing one-on-one. Great language teachers, i do not regret anything about my language class choices. Students are mostly nice, some can be rude but they're teens. Vending machine prices are high and never consistent. It is catholic and i have been shamed by a teacher for being from another religion.
Room for inprovement but if education is all you really want, go for it. Be warned the laptop fees to fix it if something breaks is $400 AUD. Laptops are also missing screws.
