My schools alright however there are obvious problem with a lack of teacher is the more resent teacher shortage that is impacting of my last and most important year of education (year 12). Obviously I understand that I lost a fair bit of foundation through covid however being put with a mental support teacher for a hsc maths corse doesn’t help the problem. I think my school has quite a safe and welcoming environment if you are somewhat smart or thought of as smart in a graded way, however a lot of kids especially around this heavily agricultural based town don’t have book smart so much as street smart and common sense which is not recognised within majors of school and makes kids feel unseen and stupid when they have so much potential but aren’t given opportunities to use or realise what they have because of flat line curriculums and strict basic work we are given, however again not the schools fault they can’t offer that because that’s again the education system and a lack of facilities and funding however I see nothing changing even with an obvious problems like this.
I’ve been constantly called names and the teachers are disrespected. There have been many fights and people have brought knives to the school before. Do not recommend.
