As a year 12 student who has attended VSC since year 7 I can say that the school is a great place and offers so many opportunities for growth, connection and a quality education.
The teachers genuinely care about their students success. There are always going to be teachers, in every school, that might not be as passionate or as good at their job as others, however the vast majority of teachers, particularly the VCE teachers, are great at what they do and are willing to go the extra mile for your success when you show the interest for it. VSC also is very accomodating to students and understands that not every student learns the same way and offers a range of different learning opportunities such as VET.
The majority of students show respect for their teachers and whilst there are students who are disruptive in class, the teachers tend to handle the situation fairly quickly and in the appropriate manner. There are lots of clubs for students to join and are heaps of opportunities to be involved in arts, sports and media for the school. The facilities are great and the canteen offers freshly made food that is worth the cost.
Overall VSC has been a great place to learn, build connections with others and grow as a person.
terrible school. Generally teachers do try but the students ruin it. There has been so many physical fights and so much drama at this school. about half of the teachers are okay there’s a couple of pervert teachers but other than that 50% of good teachers do try make an effort to engage with students.
Great teachers, easy environment to learn in but lots of drug dealers go to this school a couple days ago I walked in on a year 12 who was vaping in the toilets canteen prices for food are outrageously high. Most of the things from the canteen have increased by dollar's in the past 2 years! In conclusion the school is decent but the students ruin it
I personally love attending VSC because of the progressive attitude the school has. Most of the teachers are amazing and the environment for the most part is safe.
One of the main issues I have with VSC is the attitude of some of the students. Whilst the school has a strict no bullying policy which they enforce, some of the students still say hateful language.
Overall though, since attending VSC, I’ve grown not only physically but also mentally, emotionally and as an individual.
