The school principal is more focused on the special needs kids. She focus on ‘ inclusiveness’ programs which is good (not until you know the main motive for this), but she tend to favour the special needs more than the normal kids. They expect the kindergarteners to adjust to the special needs children who are way older than them.
The principal traumatise the kindergarteners when they play rough with the special needs children. My child developed anxiety and school refusal because of this trauma. When I asked the principal who is the teacher that traumatised my child, she lied straight in my face and in front of the Learning and Development team that she didn’t know who the teacher was, when her fellow teacher already gave a clear clue that it was her, the principal.
This school has very small population and history of very low naplan scores. So where else would they request for additional source of funding (See notes above).
The teachers scream a lot according to my kindergarten child and this because, according to the teacher, “to prepare them for year 1”
This school is not good in dealing with physical assault incidents. They will ‘investigate’ for the purpose of justifying the offending party. To the point that they turn the situation and will find fault onto the injured child.
For instance, there is a child in there that has history of being violent to the point that multiple children was punched and one child had a bloody nose, but no suspension was done. I know the child was not suspended because I pickup my child everyday and the violent child is always there, never missed school. The principal nevertheless concluded that the injured child does not have social skills, sensitive or is just being dramatic and the parents are just being emotional.
