warakirri college has and is currently still saving my life. being able to get out of a toxic home environment and see my friends and amazing teachers puts me at ease. i’m actually learning and put effort into my work due to the consistent motivation i receive from teachers and TA’s. they even make us cheese toasties at break and it’s so amazing for kids who probably have parents who don’t cook for them and give them that type of love. i feel wanted and i don’t feel like a number. warakirri is the best school in the world.
Genuinely one of the best schools I’ve ever been to. Not perfect (nowhere is), but very much deserving of 5 stars. All the teachers are friendly, and calling teachers by their first name instead of their last name builds a much stronger bond in my opinion. Peer bonds are easier to make because everyone knows they’re all at Warakirri for a reason. I have thrived here and gone from 30% attendance and failing all my classes to A’s and B’s in every subject. Such a good school for people who struggle in a mainstream environment. Of course there’s drama and fighting, but that happens at any school it’s going to happen if you put a bunch of teenagers in one place. But if you or your child is genuinely struggling in mainstream school - school avoidance, depression, autism and so on - they can truly thrive here I think.
