New principle likes to punish students collectively
The school is great, the teachers are a mixed bag, but the majority of high school teachers are awesome!! I like musical theatre at lunch time, and the canteen is pretty good too. I don’t like the compulsory sports every week or how the HPE teachers make you feel when you don’t get the ball every time, or when you feel tired after running around in the heat of summer. Other than that, the school is punishment heavy. Just today they closed the bathrooms because some kids vandalised them, and we are all forced to eat lunch together in the smallest outdoor area with no undercover area, rain or shine. The new secondary principal is not well liked, but she works hard to help the school and it’s reputation. Overall it’s a great school and I love it there, save for the punishments all students have to suffer through
Whites Hill is always talking about getting there reputation back and they would go by any means to do it. Most teachers are so drawn to power at the school that they mainly don’t care about the students and only focus on the rules to make them look good which makes it harder to learn in class when I teacher yells at u for absolutely no reason and doesn’t help u at all. This isn’t for all teachers though I was mainly talking about most teachers in head of department. Some teachers are actually fantastic to work with and it’s made my last couple schooling years there absolutely fantastic as they don’t force u to respect them they earn that respect and trust which teachers lack now days. For other students wise from year 10 to 12 most kids have matured and that’s where most of the repetition is gained however there’s been some pretty terrible people from year 6-9 as most of them Vape or they try to steal your stuff it’s annoying.
