Some teachers are super helpful and friendly, others do not seem to take their job seriously. Other students who attend the school are extremely rude and inappropriate. Teachers hardly do anything to control them. We have had continuous lock downs from fights breaking out. One time we were broken into by someone who thankfully just wanted to steal things, classes witnessed this happen, no one signalled for a lock down!
As I said, the schools teaching is average and very much dependant on who you get as a teacher. I had to leave the school for my senior years (11 and 12) because I knew I wouldn't be able to get the help I need here.
Some facilities aren't amazing and definitely need fixing but the general school grounds are okay. They definitely need more seating though.
I moved from Wynnum State High School to San Sisto. Obviously being a private, more expensive school its a huge step up. I feel it's worth the money. I feel so much more secure here. If money is an issue, public school your kids but save up for your child's last two years of private schooling along the way. I doubt you will regret it.
