This school does not listen to its students or care for them when they need it, and the executive staff make decisions without consulting any other staff members, even when a particular staff member should play a major part in a decision. As an example, the school librarian has had half of her space taken away to hold the year 7 population and their classes — she was not asked permission or allowed to add in feedback before the decision was made.
The school could have been promising and still has the potential to improve. However, it is a top-down run school where the executive team can do what they want without informing other staff or asking for their opinion and they don’t listen to students either. I would have had much more success at this school if I was listened to and they found ways to support me and other struggling students. There have also been concerns about the quality of construction at the school, as there have been leaks through building ceilings, roofing falling off, and cracks in the concrete big enough to see to the first floor.
